Simon’s career has spanned thirty years, thirteen as a partner with the global advisory business at PwC and Simon has advised across Sectors including banking, telecoms, technology and security. He has also advised major corporates seeking to operate in newly deregulated and/or privatised areas of national economies.
Simon Leary, Director IMC said, “I am delighted to join IMC in this high exciting growth phase and aim to significantly contribute to the development of a robust international financial corporate strategy for the IMC Bank of Telecom ® proposition. Simons clients at PWC have included most U.K. government departments, ministries and state owned enterprises including long term postings in the Asia-Pacific region (6 years) and the Middle East (4 years). Simon advised multilateral aid agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank on public sector reform in a variety of environments. Much of Simon’s career has been spent in and around Whitehall where he has advised various government departments and prime ministers since 1989. He also spent three years on full time secondment to Whitehall during the Blair public service reforms of the mid2000s. Simon takes an active interest in public policy development and thought leadership. Simon is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a former Associate Fellow of the ICAEW and is also a member of a number of international affairs and security focused think tanks including RUSI and Chatham House.
